They are sticky with liquid or semi-solid state. Their gluing traits enforce dissimilar substrates to join together. But we may not expect fast curing behavior as it may require some time to heal. The earlier joining techniques were resulted in vain as they alter the complete structure of materials. Hence bonding technology has been evolved to join the desired materials without any deformation. The little amount of heat is enough for carrying out thermal process. This would lessen the event of damage to the materials caused by heating and mechanical drills. The increasing desire and demands force people to buy sustainable products. The new technology also deliver them best quality product at cheaper rate than its predecessors. Evidently it is determined that the need of the hour is comprehensive solution. The composite materials bonding is influenced by adhesives since simple car manufacturing require glass, plastics and metals combination to get it done. In olden days they are extracted from trees, plants, beeswax and animals. Currently they are synthesized using synthetic polymers including emulsions, elastomers, thermostatic and thermo set. They are widely used in medical, healthcare, automobile, aviation, aerospace, marine, mechanical, and automobile industries. The adhesive comes into practice followed by hardening, curing and pressure sensitive phases. The hardening stimulates bonding ability. The hot melts based on thermoplastics plays an effective role in furniture making, electronics, automobile and packaging industry. They can be simply thermally attached or detached. The epoxy, polyurethane, cyanocrylate and acrylic organic solvents possess rigidity, durability, high tensile strength and they cannot be easily dissolved by any solvents. The adhesives usually resist heat, temperature fluctuation, UV stable and moisture repellent. The two dissimilar substrates coated with adhesive ensure bonding when the adhesive is still found at liquid state. Their bonding strength turns out to be strong after evaporation. Thus results in wet adhesive bonding. The contact adhesive bonding is different. Here the substrates coated with adhesives are first allowed to dry and after that pressure is reinforced to confirm bonding. It is something like automatic adhesion. Plastisols and water solvent adhesives are also belongs to hardening adhesive category. The chemical curing adhesives follow curing process to convert from liquid to solid state. This would result in high bonding; resist moisture, temperature and chemicals. Pressure sensitive adhesives are useful in assembly process and they mend bubbling and detachment troubles. Sometimes the failure of joints adhesion takes place due to physical factors, more pressure and low adhesive surface affinity. The sealants and adhesive positive aspects are extracted to develop unique hybrid polymer for various purposes.
